View Full Version : Help me remember
Imiss80stv 03-08-2018, 02:21 AM Ok, so there was this case and I'm 99% sure it was on UM, in the later seasons.
It involved a woman killing her husband or her boyfriend, on the west coast. She was finally arrested on the east coast. When they arrested her, she said "This is about that (state name) thing, right?"
I cannot for the life of me recall what state she mentioned, or who it was. Anyone who can help me out, I would appreciate it!

I was thinking that, too. But I just watched the segment, and I didn't hear any quote like that. This does sound familiar, though....
Imiss80stv 03-08-2018, 02:39 PM No..... that was in the earlier seasons. I remember being unable to drive when that case came on and I was able to drive when the case I'm looking for came on. I'm thinking it was from either CBS or Dennis Farina seasons, maybe?
TheCars1986 03-08-2018, 03:22 PM Laura Law, perhaps?

I don't think that's it. If I am remembering correctly, they arrested her at her door, not her place of employment. I feel like her name might be Catherine or Pat or Jane, something like that. Unfortunately, I cannot recall if that was her alias or her real name.

I went back and checked the list of episodes all the way back to 1994, and don't see anything resembling the descriptions given.

Thanks for checking. This is driving me nuts! All I can remember is she was a socialite type of woman, she was found on the opposite coast from where her crime was committed, and she asked that question when they arrested her, and I feel like she had a plain name-Ann, Jane, Carol, etc. I'm sure I'll remember it some day.... ugh.

Excluding newer updates, every segment that aired on the Dennis Farina version originally aired on the pre-Farina seasons. I myself don't remember the UM segment you're referring to, assuming you are correct about it being featured on UM.
jeeps 03-12-2018, 11:16 AM Could it be the lady they arrested in Boston (the police posed as pizza delivery guys?)
She killed her husband - was he the antiques dealer in Vegas?
I might have everything mixed up but I remember the tall, blonde lady who was caught in Boston.

I thought the same thing, too, but there is no record of it having been featured on UM. However, it was featured on Forensic Files (episode "For Love or Money") and America's Most Wanted. The woman's name is Margaret Rudin.

Oh, I remember Margaret Rudin! HORRIBLE woman! Although it was never a UM case, it was a case included in one of John Walsh's several books. I remember reading about her and being just horrified...
