I did my share of TV but it was in between 40 yrs of working. Never, thank goodness, went to those soaps, mom watched a couple in her life...she was a housewife mostly. I've decided to unplug mine 4-5 yrs, cable company messed up my billing, so I told them to take their black box. Longer I stay away, the less I miss it. And I'm probably keeping $70 or more a month in my bank account.

Just the other night I was watching the movie Alien, and they thought it was just fine showing some creature shove it's ovipositor down some guy's throat and impregnating him with it's embryo, yet scarcely 90 minutes later they were adding smudge effects to the screen to obscure Sigourney Weaver's form-fitting undies. Definite conspiracy

I'll probably check out the Dexter revival when it premieres in November and the Chucky series in October. Other than that, I don't see a lot of good shows being made today.

What are you guys watching that I'm missing out on? I've resorted to buying old TV shows I've never seen for new content because I can't get into today's TV shows. I'll probably check out the Dexter revival when it premieres in November and the Chucky series in October. Other than that, I don't see a lot of good shows being made today.

Honestly, I don't watch that much TV, but clips and stuff I've seen of shows - streaming ones mostly - seem much less cookie-cutter than network shows, and they get a lot of praise. Not that many pique my interest, but I appreciate the steps being taken to break away from the status quo.

The MCU shows on Disney+ have been excellent though.

Some new(er) stuff I've liked- Mr Mercedes, The Mandalorian, WandaVision, Falcon And The Winter Soldier (haven't watched Loki yet), Westworld, Ash Vs The Evil Dead, Lovecraft Country, Lisey's Story, Anne With An E, The Outsider, Castle Rock, Them, Fargo

Of the promos you posted, I did watch some of these shows. The Good Place I watched until the end of season 2 or 3. I got tired of them constantly resetting everything wiping their memories each season. It was like Once Upon A Time how they do their memory curse every other year. It got old. The Morning Show hasn't been on for a couple of years so I forgot about that. I'll need to rewatch season 1 before season 2 comes out because I already forgot what happened in that show. I watched the first episode of Big Shot because it has Gina from Nip / Tuck in it. I love Jessalyn's work, but I ended up forgetting to go back to watch the rest of the show. I could go back to watch that. The previews for the new Saved By The Bell were like the reality 90210 reboot a couple of years ago talking about how many years ago it's been. I know how old I am; I don't need TV shows from my youth coming back to tell me :mumble:



The MCU shows on Disney+ have been excellent though.

Wandavision was the only one I watched. That was a good show that paid tribute to the classics of television.

I love horror, but Them was really disgusting with the baby scene. That episode pissed me off and usually TV doesn't do that. I don't know if I'll watch the second season if they have one because they don't have any limits. There needs to be because stuff like they showed was really inhumane and disturbing.

I miss Ash vs. The Evil Dead. That and the From Dusk Till Dawn TV series were really good. I just found out Castle Rock was canceled after looking it up. I wondered why I hadn't seen any news on a new season coming out.
