X-Men: The Animated Series' Larry Houston, the first black storyboard artist on a Saturday morning cartoon, recalls trying to make a Black Panther series happen -- even enlisting Keith David to play the superhero on a 1996 episode of Fantastic Four. "I am ... so glad to have lived long enough to see the comic book I bought off a spinner-rack in 1966, as a child, to now see the Black Panther, and all of my other childhood heroes, on the big movie screen. And done right," says Houston.

BET is posting all six episodes of its short-lived 2010 Black Panther animated series to Facebook (https://shadowandact.com/black-panther-bet-animated-series-available)
The animated series, which has garnered new interest thanks to the Ryan Coogler Marvel movie, featured an all-star cast of voices, including Kerry Washington, Djimon Hounsou, Alfre Woodard, Jill Scott and Phil Morris.

BET had a Black Panther cartoon? I find that hard to believe and I would LOVE to see that cartoon because I'm a Black Panther fan and he's my second favorite Marvel superhero. Who provided T'Challa's voice in the cartoon and why did BET cancel it? Was it low ratings?

Hi, Bestie! BET does not have enough money to support a cartoon like the Black Panther. I bet NETFLIX buys it. It looks like NETFLIX wants to be the king of cartoons and the Black Panther cartoon is too good to just throw away.
