Jeff Franklin has been removed as showrunner on Netflix’s "Fuller House" amid allegations of inappropriate behavior, Deadline has confirmed. Studio Warner Bros. TV also severed ties with Franklin.
“We are not renewing Jeff Franklin’s production deal and he will no longer be working on Fuller House,” Warner Bros. TV said in a statement to Deadline.
The decision to remove Franklin followed accusations that Franklin had been verbally abusive to staffers and made inappropriate comments in the writers room. Variety was first to report Franklin’s exit.
"Fuller House" has been a hit for Netflix, having recently been renewed for a fourth season. Netflix said Season 4 will go forward. “Fuller House will return for a fourth season, as planned,” Netflix said in a statement. “We hope to go into production in the next few months.”

*scoffs* tell me about it! I think it had more to do with verbal abuse and inappropriate remarks
tlc38tlc38 02-28-2018, 05:44 PM LOL I was raised to believe that it was ok to be told what to do on the job. Guess the employee makes the rules now.
Dale Key 02-28-2018, 08:36 PM These shows are his vision. How about some sensitivity training instead of taking it away from him. He didn't assault anybody.
JO Sweet Heart 02-28-2018, 10:07 PM Thanks for the news. You would think that with everything that has happened already in Hollywood that everyone else there would be watching what it is that they say and do.
God bless you always!!!

JamesG 04-16-2019, 11:53 PM "Fuller House" Creator Jeff Franklin Sues “Resentful” EP for Allegedly Getting him Fired from Netflix Series
by Dominic Patten
April 16, 2019
"Fuller House" will be ending its run on Netflix with its upcoming fifth season, but a lawsuit today from canned creator of "Full House" and the reboot could go on long after the show is over.
“Despite hiring and supporting Defendant Bryan Behar, a writer and Co-Executive Producer on Fuller House, Behal was resentful of Franklin’s success,” says the Intentional interference with prospective economic advantage complaint filed Tuesday in L.A. Superior court by ex-EP Jeff Franklin against his once co-EP and showrunning successor.
“Motivated by a secret hatred of Franklin and hoping to take his place someday as showrunner, Behar concocted a plan to compile unflattering and distasteful information about Franklin that was either fabricated or twisted versions of events and presented it first to the media and then to Warner Brothers in an effort to get Franklin thrown off Fuller House,” the jury trial seeking suit adds.
Amid claims that he had been verbally abusive to staffers and made inappropriate remarks in the writers’ room, Franklin was unceremoniously fired from "Fuller House" and saw his production deal with WB severed in February 2018.
The next month, Behar and Steve Baldikoski were made EPs and co-showrunners for the then recently renewed fourth season of "Fuller House". Which, according to Franklin’s seething and wide ranging damages seeking complaint, was exactly Behar’s plan on the Warner Horizon Scripted TV and Miller-Boyett Productions produced series after that fourth season renewal from Netflix.
“Franklin’s unwavering support of Behar was not appreciated, however.” the often 12-page filing by Larry Stein and attorneys atRuss, August & Kabat states.
“Franklin is informed and believes, and based thereon alleges, that Behar began plotting a scheme against Franklin by secretly keeping a self- described ‘little black book’ in which he would regularly write down anything Franklin said or did that could possibly be twisted into something negative and unprofessional to use against Franklin,” the suit claims.
“Franklin is informed and believes, and based thereon alleges, that Behar also secretly photographed Franklin and his female friends and female employees at work and at Franklin’s home, and also took photos of Franklin’s computer screen at the office, all of which he added to his ‘little black book’ and showed to others involved with Fuller House in order to paint Franklin in a negative light.”
“Indeed, based on information and belief, it appears Behar took real encounters with Franklin and distorted them to create false narratives that painted Franklin as sexist and unprofessional,” the complaint asserts.
In particular, Franklin’s lawyers detail a “thank you” party that Franklin hosted at his own house for writer that Behar told WB brass the former made female writers wear bikinis.
In today’s suit, Franklin’s team says that was a distortion of an offer that the EP made to everyone at the event to slip into bathing suits he provided if they wanted to jump in his pool.
The complaints adds that Franklin believes Behar hoped to take advantage of the #metoo movement sweeping Hollywood at the time in the wake of the assault and more allegations against Harvey Weinstein.
Warner Horizon declined comment on the matter and Netflix did not respond to a request from Deadline about the suit. Having said that, neither are named as defendants in the filing.
Reps for Bryan Behar also did not respond when Deadline reached out to them.

John Stamos backs Full House creator Jeff Franklin in lawsuit over his Fuller House firing (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/john-stamos-jeff-franklin-fuller-house-lawsuit-1234963157/)
Franklin was ousted from the Netflix sequel series to his classic family sitcom in February 2018 amid complaints about gender discrimination and other inappropriate behavior. But Franklin maintained that his exit was orchestrated by co-executive producer Bryan Behar, who replaced him as showrunner. Franklin is suing Behar, whom he alleged kept a “little black book” with notes about anything Franklin did that could be twisted and used against him and then took that information to Warner Bros. Full House and Fuller House star Stamos, who served as executive producer on the Netflix series, is backing Franklin, saying he spent 200 hours during the first three seasons with Franklin and that he never witnessed any of the alleged misconduct. Stamos also says Behar showed him the black book during a meeting at a bagel shop. “I have seen Bryan Behar’s journal of notes and photographs relating to Mr. Franklin, and have heard multiple people discuss it,” says Stamos in the declaration. “Specifically, shortly after Mr. Franklin was not asked to return to Fuller House, I received a direct message on social media from Eydie Faye, a writer working on Fuller House, stating that Mr. Behar had been plotting to get Mr. Franklin removed from the show, and that he had a ‘little black book’ containing negative material concerning Mr. Franklin.”
