I've watched The Facts of Life alot and Gimme a Break. While I love The Facts of Life because it's classy writing and acting (except for Season 1), I can't say I "love" Gimme a Break. I like it, and I made another thread on this,except for its poor excuses for drama. But I digress. Anyway, here's my speculation for who the characters could be:

Samantha = Jo/tomboy & Natalie/quick-witted
Julie = Idk? She didn't have much substance as a character, anyway. Ugh.
Katie = Blair. Although Blair was smarter and classier than Katie, I think the comparison is interesting and worth discussing.

What do you all think? As much as I like Gimme a Break, I say it lacks originality a LOT.

I prefer GAB to FOL!! ;) Besides Nell, ( much funnier than Mrs Garrett )my favorite character is Samantha! ;) Besides Natalie, I could take or leave all the other girls on FOL!! ;)

The first thing that I would like to touch on is your comparison between Blair and Katie. I agree that Blair was smarter and more sophisticated. In addition to being very attractive and popular with boys, Katie also portrayed the dumb blond image and Blair did not. On top of that, several people have made posts in regards to who on the show they especially liked. Julie was always my favorite. In addition to thinking that she was cute and liking the way that she dressed, her decency and sophistication always turned me on.
