(Reuters) - U.S. evangelist Billy Graham, who counseled presidents and preached to millions across the world from his native North Carolina to communist North Korea during his 70 years on the pulpit, died on Wednesday at the age of 99, a spokesman said.

Graham died at 8 a.m. EST at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, according to Jeremy Blume, a spokesman for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

This is very sad. RIP to a great man.

He was ailing for years...sad that he didn't reach 100...I'm sure his son Franklin Graham will have a dedication on his father's 100th Birthday...

I also won't doubt that other ministers who walked and thought that they could be as good as Billy Graham will go as well this year or near it...

But even if we live 100 years on earth...we'll live 100,000,000 years in Heaven.

An example to us all in how to live a clean, fulfilling life, his only regret being possibly that he exhibited too close a relationship to politicians at times, or more likely they approached him in the attempt that something of his magic might rub off onto them for electoral gain.
