I dunno what the hell I'm doing wrong but I am just hopeless at looking after my virtual pets.
I'm trying to raise a chao - I called him 'Furling' - in 'Sonic Advance' on my Gameboy Advance but he's refusing to grow. I spent 1000 gold rings on a wee trumpet for him to play with cos I thought it'd make him happy.........but it didn't! He's still at the 'child' stage and he hatched absolutely ages ago!
I also play a game called 'Creatures' on my Gameboy, in which you have to breed and train these little Gizmo-type creatures called Norns. You begin the game with 2 Norns and you have to breed 8 more before you can move onto the next level. I just can't do it though! I've only got 5 Norns and the moment and they're already running riot - I can't control 'em!!!!
I can't look after 'em properly either. My youngest Norn, Penelope, died earlier this evening. I think it was my fault cos I made her eat some wierd fruit. Sorry Penelope :(
Still, a new Norn that I named Jack was born today so maybe he'll live a bit longer.

Does anyone else play these kinds of games, where you have to raise virtual pets? Isn't 'The Sims' a bit like that, but with people instead of animals? I've never played 'The Sims'.

Well, it isn't a game, but it's a site...Neopets.

IMO, Neopets are really confusing, and they usually end up hating me because I don't feed them. So......I gave up on them

Yeah me too! I'd usually end up taking them to the soup kitchen and then like...whateva's after that lol

I went to that site once.... but I got bored and it doesn't really look appealing to me...I dunno lol i didn't give it much of a chance but o well. :D

lol. I still go there sometimes...I actually did pretty well but thats because I started playing when stuff was cheap and the game was simple. Now its insanely confusing! (if anybodys still on that site, my username is Titania166)

I know exactly how you feel Mossopp. When I was in 8th grade (long time ago) I had to have a Giga pet. (Anyone remember these?) So i went to my store and bought onbe and it was a dog. I fed him, I played with him, and i even cleaned up his droppings. I was a happy child, but then tragedy struck. It was Monday anbd Giga pets were not allowed at my school. Well I was feeling good intil I can home to see my puppy on a low level of life, he had like 3 not cleaned up droppings, and he didn't do anything. Later that night he died. Its tough. You need to be a really strong person who has a lots of time on their hands to keep those things going. I tried keeping new puppies for a long time, but the longest one lived only a week. I think I've said enough. I need to have a good cry. :crying: :crying: :crying:

ME TOO! lol I LOVED my Tamagotchi. I also had a Giga Dog and a Nano Baby, but nothing compared to my Tamagotchi. He loved me :D

mine just sat on my desk...rotting away. i'd remember it, but i'd be too lazy to do sumthing...how sad....

I had four of those keychain animal things. What a waste of money lol. But I do remember those were THE in thing in fifth grade. Everyone who was anyone had a virtual pet. lol sigh what stupid trends will come up next.

Neopets is now owned by Disney and are really quite crappy now.When I first joined there were new things every day but now it's just "Kill me...Kill me now"

You can't buy them here anymore cos nobody wants 'em now. They're not in style anymore.
I never had a Tamagotchi but I always wanted one. I didn't like the ones that looked like wee animals though - I prefered the ones that were just blobs with eyes! :D

Yeah, they have them at Toys R Us for like, 3 bucks now! LOL When they were "the Thing", they were about 17 dollars in America. But if not, I'll always get one cheap off of Ebay
