Seinfeld made his "it's possible" comment this morning on Ellen (https://youtu.be/VfYJEnKry5w?t=1m29s), pointing out that Murphy Brown is coming back. But just five months ago, Seinfeld told Entertainment Tonight he was against the idea (http://www.etonline.com/exclusive-jerry-seinfeld-not-interested-seinfeld-reboot-its-nice-you-continue-love-it-87731) of bringing his iconic sitcom back. “Why? Maybe it’s nice that you continue to love it instead of us tampering with something that went pretty well," he said.
Willbo 02-13-2018, 06:39 PM I would love this. Please Jerry make it happen.
Duster76 02-13-2018, 10:07 PM Boy, this is a tough one. My initial reaction was no, don't do it. Seinfeld set such a high bar and it could so easily go so wrong. But the idea is certainly intriguing, if the show holds to the core mantra (no tears, no growth), it would be so great to see those characters still hanging in there.
Chocolate Moose 02-14-2018, 10:49 AM Reunions are so old fashioned. With the internet, we see exactly what everyone is up to.
Unless "reunion" = making a few new episodes ... now that's something else.......
Could a revived 'Seinfeld' even make sense in modern-day America? (https://mashable.com/2018/02/13/seinfeld-reunion-jerry-ellen/#aGlIyv8tUOqt)
stevea 02-14-2018, 06:22 PM I'm in. After all, we could watch I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Here's Lucy....so why not Seinfeld, 20 years on?
king of comedy 02-14-2018, 09:26 PM Please! Let it be remembered in reruns.
TV Guy 02-14-2018, 10:18 PM “Here’s Lucy” is exactly the reason Jerry should leave “Seinfeld” alone.
80sTrivia 02-15-2018, 05:23 AM It would be fun to see the old gang reunited again. I think this is the final season of Veep, so Julia would be available. Michael Richards hasn't done much since his scandal well over a decade ago.
Chocolate Moose 02-15-2018, 10:03 AM They got together on Curb, didn't they?
loaferman 02-15-2018, 10:52 AM Jerry is just distracting from a legal issue about his Netflix show. They allegedly pay Jerry $750,000 to ride around and have coffee with other celebrities. Some guy claims he gave Jerry the idea.
Why would Jerry want to go back to actually working when he supposedly gets 3/4's of a million per episode to do very little? If Netflix raises rates it will be for stuff like this.
The @Seinfeld2000 Twitter account is thrilled by Jerry Seinfeld said a Seinfeld revival is "possible" (https://slate.com/culture/2018/02/an-interview-with-seinfeld2000-about-the-possibility-of-a-seinfeld-reboot.html)
"Well, I just said it on Twitter, but this is definitely the best day of my life," says the person behind @Seinfeld2000 (http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2013/09/20/seinfeld2000_interview_man_behind_twitter_account_on_seinfeldtoday_the_original.html), which reimagines Seinfeld in the present day. "I don’t know what that says about the quality of my life. But it’s a great day for a lot of us. It’s a day that we’ve been waiting on for a long time."
gopyle 06-15-2018, 09:09 PM I would not want it to come back. I don't care to see how they would act in today's world. It was a show of its time. Let it be.
