View Full Version : Women of the House: now on DVD! tlc38tlc38 02-08-2018, 07:24 PM http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Women-House-Complete-12-Episode-Series/23981 I'll be getting this! TV Guy 02-09-2018, 12:28 PM What a shame that Delta and Linda Bloodworth Thomason mended fences, but this was the best they came up with. A wasted opportunity. The whole setup was wrong - Suzanne as a politician just didn’t make any sense. factsoflife 02-09-2018, 08:24 PM Unfortunately it is already out of stock on Amazon. Ron Ron 02-09-2018, 11:20 PM This is good news! I'll be picking this up too plus Season 7 of Different Strokes and the one sided re-release of Quincy Season 1. Kasey 02-11-2018, 10:51 AM I ordered it but I never thought it was a great show. It was just so endlessly talky it became tedious--the same thing happened with HEARTS AFIRE. I wish they had released DELTA instead. THAT was a fun show! Ron Ron 02-11-2018, 11:36 AM I ordered it but I never thought it was a great show. It was just so endlessly talky it became tedious--the same thing happened with HEARTS AFIRE. I wish they had released DELTA instead. THAT was a fun show! I ordered it too. I had forgotten about Delta. Hopefully someone will release it too soon. I have Hearts Afire but only bought it because of John Ritter. I didn't think the show was that funny. Kasey 02-11-2018, 11:53 AM I agree about Hearts Afire--great cast, boring scripts. I got it cheap years ago but it still sits unopened. I doubt Delta will ever be released because it has a ton of music issues and not exactly a large fanbase clamoring for it. The Reba McEntire theme song alone would cost a bundle, and the show wouldn't be the same without it. TV Guy 02-17-2018, 10:44 AM Good comparison on Hearts Afire, another show that should have been great but wasn’t (the cast, as you pointed out, was amazing). Linda Bloodworth, like “Murphy Brown” creator Diane English, is a bit of a one-trick pony. Had one really successful series but had trouble coming up with another. I know that she did Evening Shade too, but that’s similar to Hearts in that the cast is too big, and the scripts are sort of boring. Ron Ron 02-18-2018, 06:41 PM I received a shipping confirmation this morning!:D Ron Ron 02-21-2018, 03:30 PM Just got my copy in the mail. |
