The Sex and the City star's brother has died.

On Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, Kim Cattrall took to Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BeygEczANPa/) to announce that her brother Christopher Cattrall has been found dead, only hours after he was reported missing in Canada.*He was 55 years old.

"It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall," the 61-year-old actress wrote, captioning a photo of herself with her brother.*"At this time we ask for privacy. We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time."

According to E! News (http://www.eonline.com/news/911502/kim-cattrall-s-brother-found-dead-after-being-reported-missing), the*Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Lacombe, Alberta stated that Christopher had not been seen since January 30.*The actress had*issued a plea on social media (http://www.eonline.com/news/911471/kim-cattrall-issues-plea-to-find-missing-brother-christopher-cattrall) late Saturday to help find him.

Christopher was "a one of a kind brother," she*wrote (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bewzh-pAdqb/), adding that he*had left*"his keys, cell phone, & wallet left on the table and his front door unlocked."

"This is not like Chris," Cattrall noted. "He would never leave his unlocked home without those items nor his 7 beloved dogs."

On Saturday, Kim Cattrall — who is grieving the recent death of her brother, Chris — sent a message to her former "Sex and the City" co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, telling her “You are not my friend” and “I don’t need your love and support at this tragic time.”

Cattrall confirmed on Sunday that her 55-year-old brother Chris had been found dead — just hours after asking fans to help find him after he went missing in Canada.

After learning of the tragedy, Parker had reached out to her privately and had written a supportive comment on social media: “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.”

It initially appeared Cattrall was receptive to Parker’s messages of condolences, thanking her and other SATC colleagues for “the outpouring of support for myself and my family” on Twitter Tuesday.
