This episode is another gem found in the last few colorized seasons. There really isn't a funny man featured for a lot of minutes in the episode. Helen's book gets a publisher. Most of the episode hinges on Andy put in uncomfortable situations being a second banana to Helen's new found success.
Andy and Helen in the Richmond publishers office making Andy feel inconsequential is a classic. One old gag after another. Name mixups, no chair for Andy, cutting Andy short mid sentence. It all works.
Glamourous Match Game panelist Elaine Joyce playing quite forward Mavis Neff trying to steal Andy from Helen is a highlight.
Howard McNear sick from strokes steals the show as usual as Floyd describing Mavis's reputation.

Great to have Elaine Joyce in this episode, extremely hot.
I'm an Aneta Corsaut fan as well and this was her best episode among the color ones. I was just watching her on Grit today in a 1960 ep of "Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater." Gorgeous hair with natural curl, close to waist-length! So attractive.

Geez finally another Helen fan. She shines in the colorized episodes dressed to the nines.
Floyd's comments about Mavis Neff's reputation is classic. I love Elaine Joyce on match game. She's on password plus on Amazon I'm going to begin her episodes.Yikes is that Beverly Garland?. Maybe double yikes.

I like how they think the book is great and then they make Helen make tons of rewrites.I also love that silly over the top penname they make her take.
Also where in the world did they get the art guy ,I suppose this was a 1960s interpretation of a gay guy and that name roblin flask??

Elaine Joyce plus Howard and Floyd's discussion about Mavis are the highlights for me too. Elaine even looks good before her nosejob and does very well in her two scenes. Funny and sexy. That episode is probably how Don Knotts knew of her and she ended up in a movie with him and his variety show.Obviously J.D. Salinger watched her on Match Game and drew his interest too.

Maybe I should tune in to Grit more often.
