I mean the whole point of Will's mother sending him to Bel-Air was to move away from the gangs and bad life to make something of himself but by the end of the series finale Will had nothing going for him. Lisa dumped him, everyone else was moving on with their lives making something of themselves.

Will was basically a loser.

Mansion timelines are really difficult in the way they setup rather than organized.
