The disgraced actor, 80, looked to be of very sounds mind as he stopped by the Italian restaurant La Veranda, which is located right on the water in the Penn's Landing section of Philadelphia.
He was joined by his right-hand man and woman, spokesman Andrew Wyatt and publicist Ebonee Benson, as well as childhood friends Antoinette Gregorio and Ed Ford.
There were also a number of press people invited to the event, including a female reporter who found herself of the receiving end of a joke from Cosby at the end of the meal.
Cosby apparently shook the woman's hand and said: 'Please, don’t put me on MeToo.'
The alleged serial rapist, who has been accused of drugging and then assaulting over 60 women, then added: 'I just shook your hand like a man.'
The restaurant looked to be closed to the public as the 350-seat establishment was near empty when Cosby entered, save for a group of enthusiastic patron at a nearby table who all happened to be huge fans of Cosby.
The actor was greeted outside the restaurant by press and their camera crews along with an official camera crew as well as a member of his own party who filmed everything with her cell phone.
Cosby clutched onto Wyatt's arm as if he could not see or walk well, but then spent the entire trip from his car to the door of the eatery swiveling around to speak with reporters.
That did not once cause him to lose his balance, but with all the cameras on him a few minutes later he did walk into a closed door.
The actor's mental state seemed remarkably sharp too as he told joke after joke throughout the meal, and even fielded a question about the trial.
'We're ready,' he said of his defense team, who will start their arguments once gain on April 2 in nearby Montgomery County.
He later posted photos from the meal on his social media accounts, writing: 'Bill Cosby spends a night out with friends, fans and loyal supporters at La Veranda Downtown Philadelphia'
