I voted gain weight!! :( Not really sure if I did or not, I haven't steppped on a scale in a long time. But I feel like I look pudgier lately! Could be my imagination because I over ate so much, it seems there is no way I didn't gain some weight!?;)

I gained 4 pounds, which is surprising considering, all the food, esp. all the bakery goods, I was around. I talked to someone today who told me she does not eat meat and does not eat anything cooked! She only eats raw fruits and vegetables, occas. she juices them.
But, she hasn't had meat or cooked food in years, and she's never felt
better! It's something to think about. I could easily give up meat, but I
would not like to give up pasta, bread, and dairy.

Since I get disability there are six food pantries and five soup kitchens that I patronize. Every time I go there there dozens of bums doing their impersonation of a chimney, and I'm sure a good percentage of them drink like a fish. :drink: None of them can fathom how I manage the things I do with disability. :happyface Since I don't smoke and I have maybe two or three drinks (one can/bottle of hard lemonade, one glass of wine or one mixed cocktail a week) of an "adult beverage" each week  the money saved sure adds up. :D It was no effort for me in August to get together enough money to fly to Tennessee to see the eclipse.
After getting begs of "goodies" from a pantry I sort out everything I get, the stuff that doesn't tickle my fancy or is not low-carb gets donated to the Salvation Army so it can aid those who are not as fortunate as I am. Believe it or not my 2018 holiday purchasing has just begun :santa2:, a used-car company was giving out $5.00 Wal-Mart cards today and a chevy dealer is doing the same thing this weekend. :tree:
PS my next scheduled time for me to have an "adult beverage" is scheduled for Monday when I will consume a single-serving bottle of wine with a piece of cheese. It's my observance of "Have some Cheese with your Whine Day".

I lost four pounds from Thanksgiving through New Years Day losing a grand total of 29 pounds in 2017. :D The diet resumed today, tomorrow I'm making a batch of "Poor Man's Lobster Bisque" found on page 104 of The South Diet Cookbook. :eat: You make it the same as their recipe, but I substitute Tilapia instead of Lobster. The soup is just as delicious, and it's $30.00 to $35.00 Cheaper!
