Just wanted to post this house for sale. In my neighborhood. It is at the top of the tallest hill in the neighborhood at 1,140 feet; where I live, elevation is 1,078 feet.

House has 3,679 sq. ft., all on one level (story). 4 bedroom and 6 bathrooms. Priced at $1,799,000. There was an open house today and I went over there. Very nice interior and the view is as good as advertised. Here are some photos from the listing..

It is several street away and at a lower elevation.

Was that Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks' party I attended, with Rod Steiger splayed out on the lounger under the portico and Marilyn Monroe nestled between the faux Roman statues, splashing her legs wantonly in the pristine paled turquoise pool? Is that a Columbo film crew I see on the horizon, wending its way up the San Fernando valley, or is this all but a dream..

It is still for sale. It's probably somewhat overpriced.

Yes, I would, too, if I could.

However, even though it's big it is only one-story. I prefer a two-story house (good exercise climbing the stairs!).

That is too small for me (it is 1,722 sq. ft.). Also, I don't want to live in Spain.

Ugh. Must be nice to have $1.8 million to drop on a house.
