In 1989 a game show called Wipeout made it's debut in syndication. Hosted by the late Peter Tomarken Wipeout featured three contestants trying to guess answers to questions in categories such as Famous Presidents In Historic Times while trying to avoid Wipeouts which were incorrect answers which took money from the contestants if a Wipeout was chosen. After a second round was played the second contestant was sent home with lovely parting gifts while the winning contestant played a bonus round that seemed to copy The Price Is Right's Race Game in which the contestant had a time limit to race back and forth between the answer board to determine which answers were correct and which answers were wrong and if the contestant got all the right answers correct before time ran out he/she won cash. Although Wipeout seemed to get inspiration from Jeopardy in the answer board format Wipeout was truly one of the most overlooked game shows of the Peter Tomarken game show library. It's really a shocking surprise that Wipeout reruns have disappeared ever since USA Network last showed Wipeout reruns as part of their game show block in the 90's and Wipeout would be a perfect fit for BuzzrTV or GSN to show
Who remembers Peter Tomarken's Wipeout?

Hi, Bestie! I remember Wipeout. It was another good game show that was thrown away. I wish there was a game show recycling channel, that would revive old game shows for a month or two. I think it would have a bigger audience than GSN. What do you think Bestie? You are the expert here. Revive an old game show, play it for a month or two, them start another one.
