I've mentioned before that "Stag at Bay," guest-starring lovely Leslie Parrish, is one of my favorite M3S episodes. We get a very good look at Ms. Parrish, and in one scene in particular quite a nice shot of her butt cheeks...!:) Seeing her in her fringed outfit will send the Parrish fan into orbit. It's nice also to see her guesting on Family Affair, but it's a very tame episode by comparison. Of all of Leslie's '60s TV work, this M3S episode along with Star Trek (TOS) "Who Mourns for Adonis?" are essential viewing for Parrish fans.

"Robbie and the Showgirl" is also a risqué episode, guest-starring Pamela Austin. Every time I watch this ep, I'm reminded of her guest appearance on Ozzie and Harriet (in an episode in which Roberta Shore's character hints at Ricky that she'd like to marry him). Pamela does a nice job in this M3S ep. Like some other episodes, it's all about whether someone is truly "right" for Robbie. With that angelic face though, how could she be "wrong"?

There were many other hot female guests, like Yvonne Craig, Susan Oliver, Joanna Cook Moore, Brenda Benet, Susan Silo, and Sherry Jackson, to name a few. Who were some of your favorites, female or male?

I rewatched “Stag at Bay” awhile back and thought Ernie’s comments about tassels were hilarious especially now that some women wear tassel earrings. For anyone who hasn’t seen the episode, back then tassels were associated with fast women (exotic dancers, prosititutes, etc). Tassels are a great example of how things that use to be taboo are now commonplace.

One of the funniest scenes, I think, is where Steve has Margaret ("Flame LaRose") wearing his jacket over her stag outfit as they're standing in the hotel lobby. They get quite a look and grin from a male onlooker, as her long legs are still very evident...! And I think the implication is that she's way too young for Steve, and/or she appears to be a hooker.

It's a bit of a coincidence that you mention earrings because I was just noting today how nice Donna Reed looked in a pair of dangling ones, on the ep of her show that aired today (on MeTV). It's not that often that she had the opportunity for more glamorous looks.

What about some of the hotter male guests, you ask? (You didn’t ask but…) Here are some, along with the shows for which they’re best-known:

Gary Clarke (The Virginian)
Mike Minor (Petticoat Junction)
Alejandro Rey (The Flying Nun)
Herbert Anderson (Dennis the Menace)
Yale Summers (Daktari)
Micky Dolenz (The Monkees)
Jeremy Clyde (group Chad & Jeremy)

Most if not all of these guys fit the “tall dark and handsome” criteria. I might also mention the episode in which Robbie temporarily takes up ballet, to help with his track meet performances. In a leotard, the most revealing Don Grady scenes ever, certainly to the delight of female viewers.

I wanted to bring this thread back in tribute to the late Joan Vohs, who made quite a few appearances and later had a recurring role as a neighbor. Very hot! Talk about being "hot for teacher!" :)

Ideally we'd see her with her hair down and in a short skirt. But you can't have everything.

What about that gorgeous lady, probably one of the few remaining adult cast members still alive, Marsha Hunt? Born 1917, age 101.

From a season 8 episode, playing Katie's Aunt Cecile, an annoying woman who as a guest rearranged furniture and generally disapproved of everyone.

I'm a real Beverly Garland fan. She really shines in one of the funniest episodes in 12 seasons, The Enthusiast, a 12th season episode. In this entry, she turns a party game into a real competition, using her Beverly Garland experience on TV game shows. Later she's been cooled down by Steve, and is watching him (along with other wives) compete in bowling. The other wives are boisterous, and she finally can't take it anymore, and explodes too.

It was great to see Beverly Garland as a regular on "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" . I remember watching the pilot episode - I knew who she was immediately.

Ronne Troup was on the live segment of the Banana Splits with Jan Michael Vincent but somehow when I was a kid I didn't put that together when she was on My Three Sons.

Ronne Troup was also in a forgettable 8th season episode of "Diff'rent Strokes."

I looked at pictures of Joan Vohs but, honestly, she doesn't look at all familiar to me. Maybe I can post one here, I'll try, if this works, she does look like a good gal to have in your corner:

Leslie Parrish, what a beauty. She's in an episode of "Petticoat Junction" that I own on 16mm, "The Tenant". Love the scene when Uncle Joe and Sam are trying to talk casually as they stare at her using the phone. They're completely distracted, as was I when I was transferring the film.

I've brought back this thread yet again to show an exciting 1953 image of Joan Vohs. (This is an older, small magazine, not the later People that began decades later.) Now I'm really "hot for teacher"...!

If you watch a lot of My Three Sons and Family Affair, you will notice Joan almost always with her hair in an updo:

Equally exciting as the mag cover, if not moreso, is this 1955 TV Readers Digest episode starring Richard Denning. Joan comes on at about the 18:50 mark. At first glance I didn't recognize her, as this is likely the shortest style we'll ever see for her hair. I highly recommend this appearance, her beauty in this ep I think is absolutely STUNNING:

Wow, Joan was sure in her prime in 1953. I didn't recognize her in any of the pictures I've seen. But that '53 magazine cover showing her smile, now she looks familiar. I do remember seeing that smile before. She should never have put her hair up, she looked great with it down. Up she looks old.

Yes, I guess I could understand an updo for her many schoolteacher appearances (rare to have a woman with past beauty queen looks as a teacher, so perhaps toned down) -- but later, as the neighbor of the Douglas Family in CA, "anything goes" should've been in effect!

Joan had gone from a fairly short haircut in 1955 on back to shoulder-length by 1958, so I'm guessing that long was her true preference. That sort of taffy-color blonde can be really striking...!

One of Joan's episodes of The Millionaire just aired yesterday and she had a couple of barrettes to keep her hair in place. Dick York played her husband...! York got to have a couple of kissing scenes, what a fantasy to go back in time and take his place -- grabbing her by the back of the head...:)

What a great PJ episode to own in that format! Extremely hot look for Ms. Parrish:
