I think its stupid how they cut down this movie..... ITS NOT ANY WORSE THAN GONE WITH THE WIND OR BLAZING SADDLES!!

Didn't purchase it, but my wife won a copy of Nightmare City (Raro Video) on Blu Ray in a raffle.:)

The other day I finally got THE GOONIES (1985) recorded off analogue cable! (Cinemax - 1986)

Oh my its goregous...... On its official VHS tape its been DIGITALLY PROCESSED and doesnt look or sound as good..... Even the Japanese release is!! (I think the videodisc is the only analog release not digitally altered)

It looks thin and disgusting......... Audio crappy...... Hearing the straight analog audio from Cinemax on analogue cable is amazing!!

The pic is good also... It has depth and is just gorgeous!


I also got THE BREAKFAST CLUB (1985) recorded from HBO (26/12/86)

Audio is goregous on it also.... That movie is MONO and I dont think the official MCA tape is... It doesnt sound as good or warm @ all..... and the picture sucks.... Its flat looking and just disgusting!


I also got BREAKDOWN - 1997 on VHS :)

I found Disney's Principal Takes a Holiday (1998) in my yard sale travels. It was a TV-film that aired as part of ABC's "The Wonderful World of Disney".

It featured Zachery Ty Bryan, Kevin Nealon, Kurt Fuller, Jessica Steen, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Bill Nye.

Clamshell VHS was released in August 2000. No DVD to date.

I really didn't care much for the film, but decided to pick it up since it was a good price for being brand new.

The Best Buy exclusive features an Ahmanet Reborn graphic novel inside.

This was very odd today. I went to GameStop to pick up the new Tomb Raider game that I pre-ordered and spotted a GameStop bag on the street corner on my way out.

I could tell there were items inside and saw the Guardians of the Galaxy DVD on the top when I peeked in. I looked around and saw nobody interested in the bag so I ordered something from the hot dog stand nearby, while keeping an eye on it, to wait around and see if anyone paid attention to it or was looking for it.

When I saw nobody cared, I went back to get it and brought it home. It was full of used DVDs all in great shape.

Today I got "The out of towners" (1970) on VHS :)

My wife bought this for me when she was in New York the week before last.

It's the alternate title for the 1970 horror film Equinox (I also have a copy of it on VHS and Beta under its Equinox title, plus the DVD release)

This was completely random... there's a cell phone store around me that used to be a video store that closed around the mid-2000s. The new owners kept the DVDs from the old store and would sell them off to people who wanted it, but they started not to sell as much in the streaming age.

I went in to say hello to the owners and saw a bunch of black trash bags around. I asked what it was and they said that they had to get rid off all of their DVDs as they haven't been selling for a while. I asked if I could have them and they said I could.

They said that they couldn't guarantee that they were all in the cases, some were foreign (Spanish), and some are bootlegs. I took an UBER as it was a lot to carry. I have to take the time to go through all of this and see what I want to keep and what's in good quality to sell for some $.

I think it's the area combined w/ my observance. Lots of people rush through the city w/o taking the time to notice what's around them.

Not that I go dumpster diving, but if I see a bag or box of books that doesn't look filthy I will most likely go through it.

I felt like watching this last night and I was bummed that the DVD inside was for the 1996 Marlon Brando version.

It was a blank dual-sided disc so I didn't realize it until I popped it in.
