One thing that proves how strange cartoon inconsistencies abound in the world of anthropomorphism and even the movie "Stand by Me" brought it up.

And it is a fun one, and the fun thing about cartoons and comic books.

to wit:

Pluto=dog dog. Goofy=people dog.

That is the deep thought.

(and Porky Pig had dogs elsewhere in Movieland, and later Huckleberry Hound tried to save a dog who was putting him on,etc.,etc.:-) ANd Gumby had a horse as a best friend and a little dog named Nopey for a dog pet.:) LOL)
