Anyone else having issues? I've tried 3 browsers for several days and no dice.

is this the only site you are having problems with? when accessing it by phone, are you using your home wifi?

do a virus and malware scan and then flush your DNS

Only one that I'm aware of, I'll try the dns flush.

I can use this site by PC fine.

I've done everything I can think of, still get the server IP address could not be found message.

I've been having problems with this site (and only this site) using the Safari browser on the iPhone and iPad, constantly getting a "Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found " notice.

But on the PC, everything's been smooth.

Yeah this has been happening to me.

Sometimes it goes through (like now) and other times it gives me "server not found"

Using Firefox but i also tried Chrome aswell. Can bring up the site on my phone just fine.

Sometimes I get that response on various sites and thankfully if I click REFRESH (or press F5 or return) it goes thru..........

I was having issues too. Using Firefox, I got a msg about a possible 'insecure connection' or something of that sort. On a whim, I put "https://" in front of the full web address, hit enter and voila - was able to log in

I unplugged my router and rebooted the computer and so far I've had no more problems.

when something like that happens it is usually a DNS issue (Domain Name System) - which means that when your browser requests a site like www.sitcomsonline.com, it gets converted into an IP address like 199.193.245.60, and to save time it will cache (temporarily save) those IP addresses, and if it changes then you will not get the site you asked for.

those cached IP addresses can be on your PC, in your router, in your ISP's routers or elsewhere in the internet infrastructure - the flush DNS will clear it on your PC, you can't do much if the issue lies elsewhere (although rebooting your router could help if it caches addresses).

you can find out if you are having a problem reaching certain sites by pinging the addresses or running a tracert on the address, which will actually show all the steps, and where the problem is (try running a tracert to google's address 8.8.4.4)

Yeah, on my computer it is redirecting. I had a redirect virus before on my computer but this is different! It seems like it is only on SO it's happening,:( every other websites seems fine!

OK, never mind as of now, it finally works. I'm using my laptop with wifi and now works. I guess the redirect site happened since few hours. Bonnie, I hope you could wait, then later on try again, it should work

What happened on Saturday was the nameservers domain expired. I never knew the host had even registered it 7 years ago. They updated the nameservers as soon as I contacted them, and they saw what was causing the issue.

It should have started working for most people within 4-6 hours. It can take 24-72 hours for it to propagate and ISPs to update. Some Wifi hosts are still having problems accessing the site it seems. It's up to the individual ISPs to update to the latest DNS.

I've been having trouble getting on with my phone. So if I'm absent for a period of time it's because I can't access the site.

I cant access the site with my phone or computer. A proxy is the only way to get on.

I can access the site at my local library or elsewhere but I can't access it at my home!

Ah so it's not just me. Yeah, it's still in and out for me but more out. It seems the only way I can get it the last 2 days is to use my work's VPN.

I did a trouble ticket with our host again last night. They told me the domain is resolving globally. If you still can't access the site or it's only temporarily working, then it's an issue with your browser, computer or ISP.

1) Clear all of your temporary internet files, cookies and other related files in your browser. Try another browser.

2) Add sitcomsonline.com to your trusted site lists or any type of whitelists.

3) Unplug your modem and/or router for a minute or two. Reset any options and reboot.

4) Contact your ISP and tell them you are having problems accessing the site.

I'm sorry if the site was down for an extended period of time. It was frustrating to read the comments and e-mails from people who were having problems accessing it. I had no idea that our host had registered the nameservers under a different domain 7 years ago. That domain had expired at the end of December (and there was a grace period into January). The host fixed the nameservers once they figured out what was causing the site loading issues. They said most people in the USA should have been able to access the site within 4-6 hours. In some cases, it can take ISPs 24-72 hours to update the DNS cache.

Just to help confirm that it worked I'm posting in here. I was one of the many having issues getting on. I'm able to access everything perfectly again. I tested it by going to various threads where it would usually quit working on me. I've been cruising the board for a hour now problem free.

I'm still experiencing problems with my phone. It comes and goes in the matter of seconds.

Still working for me as of now...it's worked longer this time around than before.

For iPhone you can clear your cache by closing your browser and then turning on airplane mode for a few minutes then turn it back off again

I've been having issues accessing the site by PC for weeks now; I seriously wondered if it was down for good or hacked, it was so long.

I don't have a smart phone, and hopefully never will.
