If you ever have gone to a mall you will be surprised that we might be seeing the shopping mall of the future and that factory outlet malls will soon die and become a thing of the past. I've noticed that they now have put factory outlet stores in the mall and all this tells me that factory outlet malls and the regular shopping malls will be combined into a different kind of mall of the future. Take for instance the shopping mall near me has been constantly been adding new stores since the mall got a whole new makeover a year ago and they opened up a new JCPenney last year but a lot of the stores that my mall has are still there including Sears Toys R Us Best Buy Macy's and a Forever 21 is there but they recently lost a Michael's store and a Rite Aid when my mall decided to add the outlet stores. And what I can see of this new style of malls will attract lots of shoppers to the malls and bring new life to them. A second thing I have noticed about the shopping malls of the future is that they are making malls like amusement parks by having entertainment and live shows and I have noticed this is a huge success for malls. Is it because malls want to attract shoppers by having live entertainment to make shopping worth doing? This new style of malls has always has been successful and so it tells me that this will truly be the shopping malls of the future
Has anyone noticed this about your shopping malls?

Malls are great but they will have to adapt to survive. They need to defend themselves against online shopping.

I don't go to brick and mortar stores anymore. It's too easy to shop online!

I wonder about the malls. Since they are having trouble, I wonder if stores will
return to Main street USA again. I remember when there were 5 department stores within a 15 minute /10 mile drive. Now there are none and the closest stores are 2 huge malls within a 40 minute drive with so much to choose from it is overwhelming. . I haven't done any on line shopping for I like to see what I am buying. I can't imagine buying a bed or a car on line.

Mall stores are practically gone...places like Sears and JC Penny probably won't exist after 2020.
And Wal-Mart has taken most of that away since everything is in one store...no point in making different trips.

Malls are so much fun and it's depressing to see them decline. I have great memories of going to malls.
I wonder if having more internet-based stores would attract people. Amazon was talking about having physical stores, either for shopping or for picking up stuff you ordered online. Maybe malls should get stores like that.

There's gonna be an Amazon store or warehouse in North Randall.
