View Full Version : Defunct channels you miss the most
tlc38tlc38 12-23-2017, 12:33 AM I miss SOAPnet. I wish this channel would make a comeback and air classic soaps along with same-day episodes of the current soaps.
I also miss The Hub. It was a fun station with a great prime time schedule when it was Step by Step, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Batman...
Regulus 12-23-2017, 12:51 AM Thanks to my mammoth home video collection I don't miss any channel! :D
tvfreak1987 12-23-2017, 01:20 AM Have to concur with SOAPnet. Would love to see classic AW again, along with perhaps classic ATWT & GL.

Kasey 12-23-2017, 10:42 AM Not defunct but I miss the way certain stations used to be in the '90s when they were still good. Nick@Nite, TV Land, WWOR and TBS used to have great shows and now all are wastelands IMO.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOT0zMIS6ss&t=684s
tlc38tlc38 12-23-2017, 11:22 AM Expanding on my original post:
I'd like to see SOAPnet revived with reruns of all the classic soaps especially Days of our Lives, All My Children, Port Charles, & Sunset Beach.
I'd love to be able to rewatch Janet from another planet on AMC!
Luckily I have been able to obtain complete years of Days of our Lives in great condition with no commercials. I have 1995-2004 of the series and plan to try and get more soon.
Torgo 12-23-2017, 11:50 AM One I miss from my childhood, a UHF channel- KECH (Channel 22) aka Catch-22. It aired classic TV series from Land Of The Giants to Father Knows Best and The Monkees, and the serials like Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, plus old movies (along the lines of the cheesier output- Ed Wood and the like)
mets82 12-23-2017, 12:47 PM The Hub

Also, like mentioned above, I do miss Nick at Nite, TVLand the way they used to be.

Regulus 12-23-2017, 07:46 PM Have to concur with SOAPnet. Would love to see classic AW again, along with perhaps classic ATWT & GL.

I guess I've mentioned my adventures doing this hobby a little too much.

PhoenixAcres 12-26-2017, 10:53 PM I miss The Hub. I remember when they launched, it was on 10/10/10 and it was a big deal with a lot of promotion. They had a lot of fun shows and I have fond memories.
My favorite original show was probably R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour. They also had older shows like Batman and Happy Days. This was before MeTV so I was first introduced to some of those shows through the Hub.
