back in that time, i think briefs was still the norm

I got a little bit of logic behind this. We see at least one epsiode where Kevin is in his underwear (when he caught the flu from Winnie) and then about a season or two later (I'd have to check an episode guide to be sure when) Norma tells them that she may have mixed there underwear drawer up and asks if they checked who's underwear they put on today. Kevin freaked out so if he could possibly mix up his underwear with Wayne, Wayne must wear the same kind... like the kind in the flu episode.

Of course there are a couple errors with this reasoning. One, Kevin may have changed the style he wore between the two epsiodes, changing to boxers, which may be why he mixed up Waynes supposed boxers. And two, maybe Kevin wore both and thought he was putting on his boxers, when they were really Waynes.

Now, I feel pretty silly putting this much thought in this...

Well at the beginning of an episode Norma said "Kevin, Honey I bought you new underwear" and shows a pair of white briefs so I guess they both wear them.

IIRC it was the episode "When Worlds Collide" from the 1990-91 season, in which Norma takes a job in the office at Kevin's school.

In Episode #7, "Heart of Darkness", in which Kevin had dreams he was walking (to the song "Riders on the Storm" by the Doors) and falling down manholes (only to wind up in the classroom), he was in his briefs in one scene. (IIRC he was in his pajamas in another one, and holding a big purple rabbit in the other.)

LMAO. I remember that one!

Seeing him with that big purple rabbit caused me to spit dr. pepper thru my nose!

In any scene where Kevin was in his underwear,it was briefs.As for Wayne,who knows.
