Does anyone know why my Antenna TV affiliate isn't showing the episode names along with the seasons?

I'm all confused here.

On the Antenna TV website, it shows the episode names and airdate, but no season (1, 2, 3, etc).

On my cable provider (Comcast/XFINITY), it only shows the description of the show.

What is going on?

Here is my Xfinity on screen TV Guide for tonight:

7 PM - What's Happening - Repeat, (ep. title), S2/Ep11, (1977), (description)

7:30 - 227 - Repeat, (ep. title), S3/Ep01, (1987), (description)

8 - Sanford & Son - Repeat, (title), S6/Ep21, (1977), etc.

Everything else has season/episode info., and descriptions, except Johnny Carson doesn't have season and episode info (which it never has).

Clearly there appears to be something wrong with Comcast in your area.

Maybe. Antenna is kind of iffy where I am.

It’s probably my cable provider.

You may have had a power outage. The TV Guide is stored in the cable box. When the power goes out, the box loses all the TV Guide listings, and they have to be reloaded. This is a slow process which can take several days. Of course, if the box is accidentally unplugged, the same thing will happen.

It’s the (former) Antenna TV Boston affiliate, WBIN, and they had the same issue on Tivo. TiVo and the other providers of program information should have just linked the WBIN listings to the Antenna TV listings. For some reason, they’re weren’t doing this they started showing Antenna TV on WBIN’s main channel 50.1, even though they did do it when it was on 50.2. Perhaps it was because 50.1 was only a partial affiliate until a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, this is all moot now. WBIN 50.1 has now changed to the Justice Channel (previously seen on 66.5). Antenna TV in Boston is no more.
