Almost American was an atempt at a spinoff show that didn't work about a class studying for American Citezanship.

The episode that I totally hate is Shoot Out At The Ok Arcade because the story, lines and everything about it was totally stupid.

I thought the Rashomon 11 episode was ok because it was at least a brave attempt to try something different.

I agree. That was the stupidest episode I've ever since!

ah. yea i thought that one was used for a spin off cuz it had very little to do with diffrent strokes.

I also hate any of the episodes that have Kathy in them.

I just watched the Arcade ep today... very dumb. I can't stand Kathy episodes either. She's an annoying brat. Her bad attitude gets on my nerves. (And me not liking her has nothing to do with her disability)

hey dont take it out on her, its how she was written into the show.

I forgot about the Kathy ones. Out of the 4, I thought 3 of them were watchable but the episode titled Kathy was totally terrible- the jokes were so bad.

And SoFl123, Jeff wasn't taking it out on the actress, he was commenting on the character. I agree, all she did in all 4 episodes was complain.

the girl that played Kathy is in the DIffrent strokes fanclub.

Interesting, I was wondering about that episode and was thinking it was probably an attempt at a spinoff. That episode was just awful. I'm surprised nobody mentioned the "Hello Larry" crossovers. They were horrible -- talk about 'fast forward' time whenever I come across one of those on my VHS tapes. That family is so annoying. "Football Father" was another very lame episode. I hate to say it, but I really don't like a lot of the older episodes from the late 70s (such as "The Spanking" as an example) -- maybe its just because those are the ones the networks seem to love to play the most. I really thought 1982 & '83 were the years the show was at its peak. Most Sam episodes suck too, but I never turn my back on the last season ABC episodes, just because they are so damn rare!
