Every December my mom and I buy tamales and one type of tamale my mom loves are sweet tamales which are tamales filled with sugar cinnamon and raisins but it seems that sweet tamales are now hard to find in Mexican restaurants today? Is it because other types of tamales are more popular than other Mexican foods than sweet tamales? When I called the Mexican restaurant where Mom and I usually get our tamales to see if they made sweet tamales the guy told me that sweet tamales are out of style like dinosaurs and so it tells me that sweet tamales have become scarce to find these days
