At least I'll be able to watch Kolchak: The Night Stalker this time.

I am still hoping for St. Elsewhere to make it to one of MeTV's future schedules. It makes sense, it's an MTM show like some of theirs, and it's practically the only MTM drama besides Lou Grant they don't have. They need to air St. Elsewhere & Lou Grant!

Poor Outer Limits :(The Outer Limits airs both the 60s and 90s versions on a diginet that is called Comet. I had assumed that was the only place, 2 diginets don't usually air a show at the same time.

I do not get Comet unfortunately.

So now I'll have 3 Gomer Pyle episodes in a row every weeknight? I like Gomer but that's overkill.

Boo to them moving Mama's Family to 9:30. 9 was better.

Westerns are still a bore...

Same old crummy schedule. MASH and Hogan’s Heroes just can’t ever leave the same timeslots.Glad to see Diff’rent Strokes though and at least I still have my Touched by an Angel and Honeymooners on Sunday nights. Other than that, nothing to write home about.

The Only negative things about METV’s upcoming schedule starting next month:

- Sanford & Son and One Day at a Time are not in it because GetTV will soon air Sanford & Son when January comes.

- Weekday Lineup now has 6 hours of Western

- ALF left the weeknight schedule

- Gomer Pyle USMC airs 3 times during the Evening in some of the METV Affliates

- Barnaby Jones, Newhart, Flipper, Knight Rider, Police Woman & Charlie’s Angels also have not been added

I would love to have 90 minutes of Gomer Pyle in primetime. Unfortunately I have never had a Me-TV affiliate.

I noticed that Diff'rent Strokes recently left Starz Black, after a long run on there. I wonder if Sony gave MeTV an exclusive on it, and Starz lost the rights.

I agree that those of us who get the 8/8:30 pm weekday alternate feed, that a triple dose of Gomer is too much. I wonder how the scheduling will work.

They evidently have problems with the 5 am half hour and the 5 pm hour. They've made many changes at those times.

how I might have scheduled this. I would replace Andy Griffith with Gomer Pyle nationwide since too many affiliates have to preempt with one of their locals having rights. Westerns are also way too much, 12-6PM on weekdays is even more than TV Land now.

Do we have to go through these complaints every single time a schedule change is announced? It's not MeTV's job to cater to a random Internet forum's wishes. I'd like to see a little more variety as well, but I'm also probably in the minority. Really not a big deal here.

That said, I am a bit surprised T.J. Hooker was taken off so quickly.

Thats a shocker, I love lucy is not on Metv, i dont think its airing anywhere on tv now. that might be the first time ever that I love lucy is not on our tvs nationally anyways since it first aired in the 60 years plus its been around, sad sad sad, lucy will be rivet if she was alive, such a shame.

its also a shame they didnt bring back happy days or laverne and shirley back, and i also thought Green Acres would be back too by now, maybe its later in the year. It looks like the only show ill be watching is my three sons im glad thats still on. at least ill be busy watch antenna tv with all their new shows will keep me busy, compare to their schedule, me tv is a shame against them. this hourly of some shows sucks, and needs more variety.

When they get good shows they put them at horrible times. They just won't budge on Hogan, MASH, and their precious westerns.

stevea
12-12-2017, 06:18 PM
These westerns must do well for them. I can't imagine who would want to watch. A few of them went a little into the '70s, but they basically haven't been around since the '60s.

I agree that MeTV doesn't cater to an internet forum, but it helps to vent.

I'd like to add that I'm a little surprised about Lucy, too. Donna Reed and Beaver obviously work for them--you'd think Lucy would, too.

I love the westerns, BUT I do wish they'd shake up the schedule on these, get rid of those they've played forever, Out with Rifleman, Bonanza and color Gunsmokes, In with Tales of Texas Rangers (the '50's Joel McCrea program), Cimmaron Strip, Rawhide daily, Roy Rogers Show, Annie Oakley, and any other '50's western you can think of that isn't currently on. :D

THank you for keeping Cannon, Mannix, 77 Sunset Strip but BOO to you for getting rid of Highway Patrol, it hasn't even finished one run-thru yet. And stop skipping the one and only Christmas episode of 77 Sunset Strip, I thought you'd play it now at Christmastime when you skipped it some months ago, but NOOOOO it's not scheduled anytime. Merry Christmas too, I love to shout it. No Happy Holidays, MERRY CHRISTMAS and praise our Great President while you're at it!!:D

And PLEASE BAN FOREVERMORE M*U*S*H & Hogan's Heroes, I hate hate hate those shows. And I don't like them either.;)

I also wish MeTV would add "St. Elsewhere".

stevea
12-17-2017, 01:04 AM
This TV showed Highway Patrol, complete and unedited. 26 minute episode length-great for collecting. They did the same with Sea Hunt.

If westerns have to stay, MeTV could add the color Wagon Trains. Many of those are 90 minutes, so they could ditch one of the Rifleman episodes.

Antenna TV did get rid of a bunch of Norman Lear shows to make way for new stuff. But Sanford and Son is also on TV One, if you get that. A relative has Directv and he has an extra channel that I never heard of that ran some old sitcoms and I can't recall the name but I saw Designing Women and One Day At A time on it. Unlike the other Lear shows it felt like Antenna went too quickly through the original One Day At A Time reruns and then dumped it. What's odd is they mentioned they might get Archie Bunker's Place but shelved All In The Family. I recall seeing both shows on what became The Cowboy Channel.

In my area we get 3 episodes of Gomer in a row and that's redundant and gets old quick. I miss Mama and ALF at 9/9:30.

Still WAY too many westerns clogging up the pipes.

Few changes to the schedule for March starting on 3/5. (MeTV considers this a change to the Q1 schedule, not a Q2 schedule, so that's why I'm not starting a new thread.)

Overall, it seems the number of sitcoms are dwindling.

Night Gallery replaces The Donna Reed Show Sunday-Thursday at 5:30AM Eastern.

The sitcom block on Sunday evenings is also leaving.

Night Gallery replaces The Honeymooners and The Odd Couple at 11PM and 11:30PM.
Hourlong episodes of The Twilight Zone replace Cheers and The Bob Newhart Show at 12AM.
Alfred Hitchcock Presents replaces The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Taxi at 1AM and 1:30AM.

Everything else stays the same.

The Svengoolie movie for March 10th is "Revenge of the Creature" (1955).
