I just listened to it and it was very interesting. I did hear she said Matt was her boyfriend...but then when she showed his picture to the cop, he said, "he's gay." So, I wonder if he was, if she knew, or? Because I remember reading some things on here that could be contradictory. Not that any of this matters, it was just an interesting tidbit.

It's weird because in almost every instance, she calls Matt her friend, but there was that one occasion she said boyfriend. He could have been bi.

So she shows the officer Matt's picture and he replies, "He's a f**got because of the way his eyebrows are arched. Well, he left because he didn't want to tell you he's gay so he ran off with someone."

So they made presumptions surrounding a missing person they had only heard about for a couple minutes, refused to get involved because "you made the choice to live in LA," and didn't even bother to file the paperwork she filled out over her car being stolen.

I wonder how they were able to get this story national on UM. The detective interviewed in the segment seemed very polite and interested in getting this solved.

Just throwing this out there, Teresa mentions a "Julie" but seems like she was referring to a older man (not her friend but her friend's father) around the 00:54 mark. I thought for a second she might have been referring to a certain Jule Caylor, although she says anthropologist not entomologist. Jule lived in Concord and I heard Teresa mention she lived in San Francisco after Matt died.

That was a theory put forth by several posters here when discussing the case. It was never confirmed. We don't really know much about Steve at all, then and now.

Teresa was so pretty during the Unsolved Mysteries segment, like a model.
