Hayley Atwell is returning as Peggy Carter in an upcoming episode of Avengers: Secret Wars. Following the cancellation of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Marvel and Disney XD quickly launched Avengers Assemble. The animated series loosely follows the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity and shares a universe with fellow animated series Ultimate Spider-Man. Like that show, Secret Wars began rebranding itself for new seasons based upon the plot of the episodes. Currently, the show is in its fourth season as Avengers: Secret Wars, which sees Black Panther leading a new team of Avengers.
The New Avengers on Secret Wars consist of Ant-Man, The Wasp, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Vision, further aligning the animated TV show with the live-action MCU movies and some of Marvel’s most popular comic book properties. Next up, the New Avengers team is facing off against a collection of supervillains that includes master of time, Kang the Conqueror. This Sunday’s episode will see two of the classic Avengers go up against the time-traveling rogue, and it turns out they’re going to get some unexpected help.
Marvel has released the description for the Christmas-themed episode of Avengers: Secret Wars that airs this Sunday, December 3. The episode will see Agent Peggy Carter (voice by Hayley Atwell) and Howard Stark travel to the modern day in order to help Tony Stark/Iron Man and Steve Rogers/Captain America.
