If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend visiting Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN during Christmas. It's absolutely beautiful and the shows are broadway quality.

I spent all weekend (5 mins) making this Christmas tree ornament.

We try to go to Oglebay Park "Winter Festival Of Lights" in Wheeling West Virginia. It's about 70 miles East from us, but always worth the trip.
It is a six mile driving tour of light displays. The driving tour is free, but they do like donations if you are able to give. All money collected goes to building more displays

Well . . Dude, Christmas is more than lights and decorations. Think about
the reason for the season! :)That will help get you in the mood! Take your focus OFF of those small LED lights being ugly, and find SOMETHING you like and appreciate about them. Even if it's just appreciating the fact that you have electricity, so they CAN be lit. Many people wish they had electricity. And STOP dwelling on the old Christmas' of the past. Oh, it's good to have Christmas memories, but, don't let those memories stop
you, from enjoying Christmas today! Those old Christmas' were great,
but times have changed, the people are gone, and you have to move on.
Make an effort to enjoy the holidays! Find something positive to focus on.
I had to start thinking this way myself. Nobody wants or needs the Holiday
Blues! Focus on something positive, no matter how small!

Yes! Christmas is so much fun when the kids are young !:) I have grown sons now so I'm in between having little kids at Christmas time and I'm not a Grandma yet, so even though Christmas is really a nice, beautiful time of year ;) it's not quite as magical as it was in years gone by ! :wave:

Agreed. It'll be a few years if/when I become a grandfather. But we do have our great nieces and nephews to see enjoy Christmas. This will be Tucker's first, though I'm not sure if he'll be old enough to appreciate it.
