I've noticed that JCPenney has gotten a new image and I would like to know why this is? Is this new image being used to attract more people to the stores or is JCPenney hoping that this new image will help bring more money and sales? Take for instance if you go to any JCPenney store they have completely turned the store layout into a complete maze that's impossible to get out of and when you're trying to get through to any department or to exit to the mall or parking lot JCPenney has turned itself into a labyrinth that has no way out. A second thing I've noticed about JCPenney is they have now put all the departments on one floor and have done away with the second floor and I can't figure out why JCPenney did this. I remember when JCPenney would put the women's clothes and purses and children's department on the first floor and the men's department and housewares and home decor on the second floor. And so this new image tells me that JCPenney is trying to turn itself into the new version of the no longer existing department store chain Mervyn's
Has anyone noticed this new image at your JCPenney stores?

JCPenney has been on the verge of bankruptcy for years. They are trying anything they can to stay alive.

Another thing I noticed about JCPenney's new image is that anytime you try to go through a section of the store to look at stuff the whole entire section is completely a total mess because kids constantly leave toys lying on the floor and when you try to look at the purses at JCPenney in the purses section to go shop for a purse you want to buy you can never find the purse you want without an avalanche of purses falling down on the floor and JCPenney should improve their purses department by making it easier for people to look at purses. I think JCPenney should improve it's stores by having an simple layout to make it easier to shop at

^The messy stores are all too common now. There's no such thing as a well-kept store, anymore.

It's been awhile since I've been in the store but the one here has the Jewelry section right in the middle of the store and you have to detour around it to get to everything else. I guess they want you to purchase some expensive Jewelry.

I haven't been to JCPenney in forever but I thought JCPenney was in trouble. I guess JCPenney is in trouble when you have other options.

I didn't know they were still around (physical stores).

I remember when my mother used to get the catalog that weighed like 10 lbs.

I remember those big catalogs that they used to carry.
