I just spoke to someone, whose family does not like traditional Thanksgiving
food. In fact, they're going to be having BBQ shrimp with lots of veggies,
and banana pudding for dessert. What's on your menu? Are you going to
have a non-traditional meal?

Baked Clams
Fried Calamari
Mozzarella Giardinella
Salmone alla Venezia (Broiled Salmon w/ the restaurant's special Hollandaise Sauce made with a little vodka)
Mashed Potatoes

Things didn't look good here in Daytona, It rained near five hours in the morning. I thought I'd cook the turkey breast I've been marinating since Sunday. At 2:00 PM it stopped raining, so I made it to a church in New Smyrna Beach that had a Thanksgiving Dinner. As for the turkey breast, I'll have it for supper tomorrow. :eat: It pays to have a backup plan just in case things go awry. :thumbsup.

PS As soon as I got home it started raining again!

This Thanksgiving, Pringles, has a TV dinner style container, filled with separate stacks of chips, flavored for every course of a Thanksgiving dinner.
The flavors are turkey, mashed potato and stuffing-flavored chips; pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce and mashed potato chips, also green bean casserole, mac and cheese and creamed corn chips.
The Pringles Thanksgiving Dinner was sold in limited areas, this year.

I haven't done this yet, but...you can make lasagna on Thanksgiving!

My sister had turkey, potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, asparagus, corn, cranberry sauce and rolls.

She also had made a trail mix that had popcorn, pretzels, jellybeans, and little french toasts...like in A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday.

We did everything according to tradition, except instead of a turkey we ate duck. Duck was enough for the three of us.

I think it's more about spending time with your close ones, being grateful, and reconnecting than anything else.

Still, I tend to lean more traditional.
