When Queen Latifah released her debut album of jazz standards called The Dana Owens Album it seemed that Queen Lafifah was trying to copy the late Peggy Lee and the late Eydie Gorme and by singing in the movies Living Out Loud and Hairspray she really wanted to expand her career beyond rap music. Then based on the success of The Dana Owens Album Queen Latifah released the album Traveling Light and proved that she could expand her menu. I sure wish that Queen Latifah could release another album of jazz standards because the jazz style really suits her
