Hoping Season 7 is released in Feb. I know January would be too early...LOL. I have a feeling we won't get Season 7 until April.

I don't care when, as long we get it sometime in 2018. Six months ago I never thought we'd get Season 5!

I've only seen a handful of the season 6-9 episodes so it'll be fun to watch this for the 1st time.

Season 6 has two of my favorite episodes titled "Spell Mel's" where Henry wins the big prize. And "The Best Little Waitress in the World" ....where Vera reads Henry's book of positive thinking and tries to be the best waitress ever and finally gets Mel to leave her in charge of the diner and all hell breaks loose with her as boss.....LOLOL

BET A MILLION MEL is my favorite episode of the entire series. I love the scene where Alice calls the race over the phone---her delivery is priceless: "Don't untie him", "Check the knots" etc. I also love ALICE AND THE ACORNS and the musical performance of At The Hop. But there are a lot more great episodes this season. I have many fond memories of watching these back in 1981-82 on Sunday nights. That was a great TV season with Making a Living, Gimme a Break, Facts of Life, One Day at a Time, Three's Company, Too Close for Comfort, Cagney & Lacey, Private Benjamin and The Two of Us being the shows I'd always watch.

I got my copy ordered from wbshop.com. I can't really afford it but I really want to get this series completed. Alice is one of my favorite sitcoms.

All of the seasons are now available for purchase through Amazon streaming. Hopefully this means the remaining seasons will come to DVD soon.

I think we had already gotten an unofficial confirmation from Warner Archive that the remaining seasons would be released. Either way, great news!

These Warner Archive releases are really good quality and I'm so thankful for them but at about $43 (with shipping) a season, it's killing me.

At least there's only 3 more seasons to go... then, hopefully, it'll be time for "Perfect Strangers"!

Agreed on the price. If it were any other show I probably would wait for the price to go down. But the first few batches are pressed and waiting could mean non pressed dvds. I made the mistake to buy non pressed Growing Pains season from Amazon. And the picture quality was awful. I always thought of replacing it with a Warner Archive release but haven't.

^It's bad too because WA will be the ones to eventually release several of my other favorites: Perfect Strangers, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper (seasons 2-5), & Step by Step...that's gonna be costly!

I just finished watching my season 6, and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I seriously didn't think I would collect past the Flo episodes, but I'm glad I did. Sure, I still miss Flo, but the show isn't JUST about her...I adore all the other characters just as much and Alice seems to have increased her likability over the last two seasons.

I'm ready for Season 7 now....BRING IT ON!

Really? I still found Linda's performances dry. There was nothing to them. Now Vic on the other hand in season 6 own the series. I don't remember seasons 7 - 9 that well but if it's anything like season 6, I'm going to say it's a good thing Linda didn't have him fired or she would have totally shot herself out of a show. Vic's performances as Mel that season were stellar and entertaining to watch. It was hard finding an episode where he didn't make me laugh so hard. It's a shame he never won any awards for his performance on the show.

Perhaps it's because Flo stole the show in it's first 4 seasons, her presence was just more attracting than Alice was. She was a bit more over the top and Alice was very dry and normal in a diner full of misfits. But after Flo left, we were able to start noticing Alice a bit more and against Jolene, Alice REALLY stands out now.

I just opened this set last week and the other night watched "Alice's Halloween Surprise". That episode looks like it was transferred at the wrong frame rate (like Rhoda S4 and All in the Family S7) and had a strange look to it--almost film-like. Good thing it's not one of my favorites.

I actually already watched this episode and didn't realize it but I watched it again.

It looks as though it was somehow "digitized". It reminds me of how "Mama's Family" looks on MeTV.
