I haven't participated in a Black Friday sale since 2012. I REFUSE to go to any sale on Thanksgiving. :angryfire Corporate Greed :angryfire has RUINED Black Friday, and it also ruins an employees Thanksgiving as well. Even if I was to shop this Friday I found NOTHING that I'd purchase on the flyers posted on a store's website, so I'll just sit it out this year. Using my DVDs I'm going to recreate what a Detroit TV Station did in the late 1960s to Early 1970s. On the day after Thanksgiving this station would show the following:

9:00 AM Morning Movie The Man Called Flintstone

11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Assorted "Saturday Morning" Animated Shows

4:00PM Afternoon Movie Hey There, It's Yogi Bear! After Supper I'll carry out a tradition I started in 2005. When I descended upon Circuit City I chanced across a 53-inch Big Screen TV for $399.00. I also found out they were selling copies of The Polar Express for a buck, so I snatched myself a copy of it. The set was installed at my house that afternoon I hooked my DVD Player to the set and watched TPE that evening. Today this starts my Holiday TV viewing, which will last from the Friday after Thanksgiving to December 23 (It's a Wonderful Life is the movie that concludes my Holiday Schedule). :candle:

IMO this one of the funnest things one can do with this hobby. One can recreate what was shown on a date in history (This past Friday I watched four episodes that were shown opposite NBC's Oakland Raiders/New York Jets football game, followed by NBC's Sunday Movie :angryfire Heidi :angryfire on November 17, 1968. :crazy: :lol:

I'm hoping Shout! Factory does a good sale so I can pick up ODAAT.

I will probably do some LIGHT BF shopping but not til at least 4 a.m. Friday. A little clothing and toiletries. Staying FAR FAR away from any electronic purchases-that's where most of the BF insanity is.

I purchase a second 65" C7 at BB just before Black Friday this time for the guest room. I am saving up for the new 110" OLED coming out in March 2018! Rumor has it that it is going be HDMI 2.1 ready. I cannot believe that myself! 8K resolution, here we come!

I will not do any shopping until Friday. I hate the way Thanksgiving gets devalued more and more each season by the stores.
