In 1996 PBS launched a cartoon called Adventures From The Book Of Virtues that featured characters of a boy and a girl who taught lessons to kids with the assistance of their friend and advisor Aurora the Hawk and a cast of other friends. Although popular with young children Adventures From The Book Of Virtues aired for two seasons and even launched a kids meal with Wendy's. It's shocking that PBS doesn't air cartoons like Adventures From The Book Of Virtues because it was wonderful and a really smart idea for cartoons of the 90's to do
