I for one has given up on The Big Bang Theory, but I really like this show a lot. It reminds me of people from my part of the World and are really relatable to me.
Annie Potts is on here too. She looks good, always has. The daughter of Laurie Metcalf looks and acts like her mother.

I agree ! I think it's a good show!;) I've only seen it twice, but from what I've seen it's a decent show for nowadays! That's saying a lot being I'm not a big fan of TV shows from the last 30 or so years! This one is cute and wholesome unlike most of the other sitcoms on today! ;)

I want it to do well, but I think that it needs less Old Sheldon; too much voice-over.

It's a cute show, I like Annie Potts as his grandmother or Meemaw as he calls her.

Well it received a full season order, so it will at least make it through the first season. I've seen two episodes so far and I'm kind of on the fence about it. It's not as terrible as I thought it would be but it's only mediocre so far. Most of the cast is funny, especially "Mee-Mah" and the little sister but I'm a little dissapointed with the title character. Maybe I'm comparing him to Jim Parsons too much but he doesn't work for me. I'll give it a chance for a few more episodes before I decide if I'm going to become a fan or not.

Critical acclaim or lack of does not matter, the ratings are still the primary factor in what gets shows renewed. Young Sheldon is easily the highest rated new sitcom this year, nothing else has come close.

I hope they don't cancel it! :(See my post above. Young Sheldon is in no danger of cancellation, it is this year's highest rated new show. The OP was worried about critics not liking the show, but that does not matter as ratings are still the primary factor for getting renewed.

I have never watched the Big Bang Theory show, but I have seen some of this show and to me, Iain (Sheldon) couldn't be anymore precious. :) :) :)

Where are you getting the idea the critics bashed the show, the reviews I saw were favorable and the ratings have been good. At this point it looks like it will be renewed for a second season.
