Hilary was set up to succeed but failed. She had everything going for her but just couldn't make it work. She's still reasonably successful with her work on Younger, but she was poised to be way bigger than what she is currently. Maybe trying to involve her sister hurt her more than helped her along with her stage mom. Hilary's mom refused to do a Lizzie McGuire sequel and instead focused Hilary on movies that would pay her more like A Cinderella Story.
