Same gender relationships is a hot button subjects with a lot of controversy. I'm more acceptive of it when it's between girls being I feel girls are being punished for having to settle for second best when it comes to the prettiest of the two genders. However, there are people who will have hangups and refuse to wait or read any sort of fiction that promotes it.

“We decided to take from our own lives,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says of the inspiration for Monday’s episode.

I'm guessing Floriana is the girl who played Maggie. Whenever I think of Maggie, I think of the baby on The Simpsons who sucks a pacifier. Somehow I doubt that Homer would react that bad if his youngest daughter grew up to like girls. He's got a supervisor that's queer, and that doesn't make him want to see about working somewhere else. Of course that could be because Smithers doesn't bother Homer that way. He only supervises like any other boss would be doing except to a more abusive degree that wouldn't be legal. There was an episode where he found out they were only pretending to be nice to him, so he was releasing wolverines. In reality, a boss would not be allowed to release hounds or wolverines to attack workers

Maggie Sawyer and Alex Danvers' relationship wasn’t built to last from a plot perspective.

Maybe she the character Alex should find out what heterosexuals are raving about and try to find a dude since the last one was a one night stand from a string theory dimension.
