The Carsey-Werner Company accused the BBC of using too much copyrighted material in Bill Cosby: Fall of an American Icon, which was first broadcast last June. According to the lawsuit, The Cosby Show footage used in the documentary amounted to 234 seconds, or 6.5% of the total running time.

And to think that Bill Cosby's CBS sitcom, Cosby, was based off of the BBC sitcom One Foot in the Grave.

The BBC was accused by Carsey-Werner of using too many Cosby Show clips in its documentary Bill Cosby: Fall of an American Icon. But a California judge dismissed the case because the documentary was only shown in Britain.
