Every November I've seen supermarkets advertise Thanksgiving dinners that come in a box packaged with the turkey stuffing and dinner rolls and dessert included and I would like to know if anyone has tried them for Thanksgiving and would they be worth buying? Mom has only ordered them three times and wants to try something different for Thanksgiving this year and i'm curious to know if supermarket turkey dinners are really worth buying? I also make a lot of calls to supermarkets to find out turkey deals and that really helps Mom with our Thanksgiving plans

Having bought Turkey for both Thanksgiving and Christmas All I can say is I've never had a bad turkey (The only exception was when my Father would baste the bird too often). I solved that problem by marinating the the turkey for three days in a vat filled with the same mixture formerly used. The results EXCEEDED my expectations and everyone RAVED about it. :D If you INSIST on basting your bird use ONLY the drippings from the turkey, and do it as little as possible. :cool:

Mom and I have only bought turkey dinners from a supermarket four times but once we bought a turkey from Marie Callender's and it wasn't quite what we expected it to be and it was a Zacky Farms turkey. My aunt likes to buy her turkey dinners from Boston Market every year and she loves them and the turkey dinners she gets from Boston Market comes with excellent side dishes that my cousin likes to eat as well. I called my Boston Market when I had one once to see if I could get the same meal as my aunt but Boston Market was too expensive
