Why don't we have Westerns anymore? "3:10 to Yuma", "Stagecoach", or
"Broken Arrow", classics to name a few. Doesn't anyone like or watch
Westerns, anymore?

Cowboys were portrayed as heroes. Today is the time of the anti-hero. Plus, in westerns, Indians were often the bad guys and women were generally subservient to men. That's not allowed today.

There was a glut of Westerns in the 1960s. The network heads pushed so many Westerns that the network schedules were full of them. Today, the craze is so-called "reality" TV. Network executives have never been creative, and whatever is doing well on one network gets copied on another network. This never changes.
AMC had a very good Western called Hell on Wheels, which ran for five seasons, and was cancelled last year.
HBO's Deadwood, which was great, is apparently coming back as a movie. You can get the previous episodes on DVD. If you don't want to invest money to try out a show, many local libraries will lend copies.

AMC has a new series The Son.
Netflix has a new Western series premiering this month titled Godless.
As for movies from the last few years we've had (and these are films I've seen and enjoyed)-
Django Unchained
The Hateful Eight
The Revenant
Meek's Cutoff
Blackthorn
Appaloosa
The Salvation
Brimstone
The Homesman
The Retrieval
And though a remake True Grit was excellent, as was the remake of 3:10 To Yuma.
My personal favorite of recent Western movies is Bone Tomahawk with Kurt Russell.
New Western movies I haven't seen, but am looking forward to:
In A Valley Of Violence
Hostiles
The Ballad of Lefty Brown
Woman Walks Ahead
Sweet Country
Tracker
The Dark Valley

I don't think the network execs think the 18-34 year old viewer would be attractive to westerns. The 18-49 age is the paying ad group that all networks including cable get their revenue from. The 18-34 is the prime ad revenue group that networks get higher premiums from. Maybe possible when much more older cord cutters leave cable tv, but for now the 45 and older group account for 70% of the subscriptions to cable provider services. It only the young and those who work in technology that taking this streaming routine. Netflix still has Longmire that sort of a modern day western rolled into a soap opera format! I quit watching it after the 5th season.
