Mike Evans (1949-2006) became known in the role of Lionel Jefferson on All in the Family and then on seasons 1, 6 and 7 of the spinoff series, The Jeffersons (Damon Evans, no relation, played Lionel on seasons 2-4). He was also the co-creator of Good Times, a second generation spinoff of All in the Family (by way of Maude).
