Sharon was the waitress Alex was briefly in love with after Ellen left. She left him when he tried to make her a copy of Ellen and said to call her when he was interested in who she actually was. Obviously that wouldn't have been right away but it is too bad that never happened. Sharon was a whole lot more likeable than Courtney Cox's Lauren that would become Alex's girlfriend.
