500 years ago, Martin Luther posted the 95 theses in Wittenberg.
Martin Luther wanted the Catholic Church reformed and go back to it's roots...but it would later become a Protestant Church as the Lutheran Church.
Happy Reformation Day!

Grace through faith is what Martin Luther struggled to learn He struggled to earn God's favor by beating himself and trying to earn grace by paying indulgences etc. As a Lutheran myself I'm eternally grateful that God opened up the truth and that he used Luther and others to spread the Gospel in it's true meaning. No buying your way to heaven or gaining heaven by good works. It is so simple that people try to override the simplicity of "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9 That is quite clear.
I don't mean to preach but this is so important.
Thank God for Martin Luther. Amen!:)

Their are untold numbers of people who thing they can Purchase my way into heaven or do "good works" in order to get to heaven. But when comes the day they meet Jesus the only thing they will hear is "Depart me, I never knew you, worker of inequity". Listen folks, God LOVES YOU and salvation is FREE, all you need to do is ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Saviour. You don't know how many times I come across being tempted. When I turn to Jesus that temptation ENDS! One thing God has done for me is to give me what I need (Bear in mind he won't give me what I want!) but even in tough times he has gotten me through it.
