Hello, first time poster in the TZ forum. I just watched "The Hitch-Hiker" and I have some questions.

1) If Nan was dead for the entire episode, does that mean all the people she spoke to were dead, too, and were also in denial?

2) Was the episode a hallucination that took place in Nan's mind in the minutes before she actually died?

3) Did the episode take place in normal reality (with real, alive people) and Nan was simply a ghost who could interact with live people?

I ask these questions because when the mechanic fixes Nan's tire at the beginning, it seems like she is in a different reality. The mechanic comments on how she was lucky to survive the accident, which tells me that he is sharing her delusion that she survived. But then for the rest of the episode it seems like she's in normal reality where living people can't see the Gray Man (Death). What do you think is the best explanation? It's a great episode!
