I have a distinct memory of being scared as a child by a segment where someone sees a perpetrator's reflection in a mirror or window before noticing them physically. Was there such a segment on UM or could it have been another show? I remember it terrified me but haven't come across it in the years since!

Yeah, I was going to say Bell too. This case happened about an hour and a half from where I live. The victim was in the bathroom getting ready when she saw him through the mirror.

This part of the story is usually overshadowed by Bell's original crime, Larry Dickens, in Houston. To distract from it a bit some more, Matthew McConaughey played Larry.

Doubted by some but never confirmed. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, though. This woman saw him up close, beat the hell out of him and then chased him out of her house with a gun. You're not exactly going to forget that face.
