Chris Savino, creator of the hit animated series "The Loud House", has been fired from Nickelodeon after a string of sexual harassment allegations were brought against him by female co-workers, our sister site Deadline reports.

Savino was suspended on Wednesday, only to be formally let go a day later. Despite Savino’s firing, Nickelodeon will continue airing "The Loud House" as the show’s third season is still slated to premiere in early 2018.

Per an earlier report from Cartoon Brew, numerous co-workers of Savino at Nickelodeon came forward with reports that Savino made unwanted advances and threatened blacklisting after consensual sexual encounters. Nickelodeon did not confirm the report.

The following is the official statement being issued by Nickelodeon:

"Chris Savino is no longer working with Nickelodeon. We take allegations of misconduct very seriously, and we are committed to fostering a safe and professional workplace environment that is free of harassment or other kinds of inappropriate conduct."

Fired "The Loud House" Creator Chris Savino Says he’s “Deeply Sorry” over Sexual Harassment Allegations
by Denise Petski
October 23, 2017

Four days after he was fired from Nickelodeon’s hit animated series "The Loud House", Chris Savino has responded on Facebook to the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him.

I am deeply sorry and ashamed.

Although it was never my intention, I now understand that the impact of my actions and communications created an unacceptable environment. At every stage of my career, I have sought to uplift my colleagues and cultivate a culture of respect. In this objective, I have failed. I should have known better, I should have acted better, and this has been a difficult but valuable lesson.

I have nothing but the deepest respect for the bravery of the women who have spoken out, trying to create an environment in which they can thrive to their fullest potential.
