View Full Version : Most annoying or hated characters from TV
What are some of the most annoying or hated TV characters you saw on TV?
You can find them annoying yourself or it could be a general consensus from the fans on how people didn't like that character.

icecream 10-19-2017, 12:51 AM Inspector Luger on Barney Miller. This is generally a well written and acted show, but episodes where Luger dominates are not my favorite. It could be the actor James Gregory, he has a creepy sounding voice and I have not liked his appearances on other shows.
Edward216 10-19-2017, 02:11 AM "Bulldog" Briscoe from Frasier. I don't think the character was supposed to be likable but sometimes you really wanted to punch him in the face LOL.

The other reason why I hate HIMYM is my brother and his ex Yoko had to watch this show while I was trying to sleep... I hope to have my brother live with me by November in a house or apartment...Yoko practically ruined his life!

Gee, almost everyone on Homicide was annying and unbearable.
Stopped watched the show because of the characters.
Worst one to me was Capt. Barnfather.

I actually disagree. I actually feel that the other characters, particularly the early ones, actually were not annoying at all. IMHO, they actually had fully realized flaws that made them actually be people you could identify and sympathize with. Falsone and Stivers, on the other hand, much like fellow later additions like Laura Ballard, Rene Sheppard, and Mike Giardello, were pretty holier than thou Mary Sue's and Marty Stu's who always came off as being morally superior than everyone else, and they could practically do no wrong, therefore making the viewer feel less human.
I hope so too.
I was not being sarcastic. In my opinion, I just think that Steve Urkel is funny, that's all.

I cannot second this post enough. Thank you; I feel the same way. The latter era characters seemed to be forcing their 'awesomeness' down our throats, whereas the characters of the first four to five years were often portrayed as hiding their better, truer natures, and were therefore MUCH more likeable.
