Funny how after Dr Bellows had Jeannie in his house when Mrs Bellows thought she was Tony's wife that he never recognized her on the several other occasions he met her!

That always bugs me. But there was very little continuity in IDOJ.

And she uses the name Jeannie almost every time she meets them.

Lois Lane never recognized Superman as Clark Kent either.

Very simple. It's a TV show. It's not reality.

Watching the series, I've lost count of how many times Alfred Bellows sees Jeannie's face -- in various episodes, over lots of seasons -- all before being introduced formally. Amanda gets plenty of glimpses as well.

Anyway, I love the interaction between Amanda and Jeannie, regardless of when she thinks Jeannie is being treated like a slave, or as Tony's fiancée later.

Just a couple of thoughts but 1. Maybe Jeannie wiped it from his memory, or 2. Maybe he DID remember he had had interactions with her, that wouldn't have anything to do with Tony now dating her.

Thank you. Also, on "Wonder Woman" Steve Trevor never recognized Wonder Woman as Diana Prince. And Lois Lane and Steve Trevor were around Clark and Diana a lot more than Dr. Bellows was around Jeannie before she became Tony's fiancée/wife.

In one episode he thought Jeannie was a spy!

Or maybe he did recognize her, but that doesn't mean Tony and Jeannie can't be a couple now.

I know once Jeannie was passing herself off as Tony's cousin but she wore a black wig with short hair so perhaps he didn't recognize her as the cousin but he recognizes her the other times when she was with Tony. Maybe this was dealt with offscreen.
